Family Coaching and Caregiver Support
CFS provides guidance and coaching to family members to strengthen their ability to support the consumer effectively. This includes education on communication strategies, routine development, boundary setting, and problem-solving techniques that promote independence while preserving family relationships.

Service Coordination and Systems Navigation
Support is provided to help families understand and navigate Regional Center services, generic resources, and community-based supports. This includes coordinating appointments, clarifying service roles, and supporting follow-through on authorized services and referrals.

Skill Development Within the Family Home
CFS supports the consumer in developing daily living, social, and self-management skills within the natural family environment. Instruction is embedded into everyday routines to promote generalization of skills and long-term success.

Crisis Prevention and Stability Planning
Services include proactive planning to reduce family stress and prevent escalation of crises. This may involve identifying early warning signs, developing structured routines, and coordinating appropriate supports to maintain household stability and continuity of care.

Transition and Future Planning Support
CFS assists families in planning for future transitions, including increased independence, employment exploration, educational opportunities, or eventual transition to Independent or Supported Living Services. Planning is paced and individualized based on readiness and family circumstances.

Person-Centered, IPP-Aligned Support
All CFS services are individualized, goal-driven, and directly aligned with the consumer’s IPP. Progress is reviewed regularly to ensure services remain responsive to the consumer’s needs while respecting family dynamics, cultural considerations, and personal preferences.
